Children are unique beings with distinct needs at different stages of their development. Children's nurses promote the health and wellbeing of children and their families. Children s nursing is child focused and family centred, and nurses work in partnership with children, parents and carers in decision-making and care provision. This course prepares you to meet the unique needs of the developing child. You ll be taught to understand children s needs, from infancy to adolescence, and to support them to maximise their physical and mental health and protect them from harm.
