Pharmacy MPharm

4 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

Kings College London

Program Overview

King’s MPharm Pharmacy is a dynamic, clinically integrated degree that prepares you to become a confident, prescribing-ready pharmacist from day one. It’s ideal for students who want to combine scientific expertise with real-world healthcare experience — all in the heart of London.

Curriculum Structure

Year 1
You’ll build a strong foundation in pharmaceutical science and pharmacy practice through modules that cover the scientific principles of drug action, formulation, and the pharmacist’s role in healthcare. You’ll also begin developing your consultation and diagnostic skills in King’s state-of-the-art clinical skills centre.

Year 2
This year introduces integrated modules that explore disease, drugs, and clinical use of medicines, alongside scientific topics specific to pharmacy. You’ll deepen your understanding of pharmacology, therapeutics, and patient care while continuing with placements and interprofessional learning.

Year 3
You’ll study more advanced clinical and scientific content, including complex disease management, emerging therapeutics, and pharmacogenomics. Clinical placements expand, and you’ll work more closely with NHS partners to apply your learning in real-world settings.

Year 4
The final year focuses on clinical decision-making and emerging therapeutics in modern medicine. You’ll complete a substantial research project — with the opportunity to publish — and may choose to study abroad for one semester. This year also prepares you for prescribing responsibilities at the point of registration.
