Program Overview

Physiotherapists are skilled healthcare professionals who take a holistic and patient-centred approach to health and well-being, ensuring that the patient is involved in their own care through education, awareness and empowerment. A physiotherapist uses a variety of techniques and equipment, such as manual therapy, exercise and electro-physical modalities and patient education. These help patients to achieve their maximum potential, prevent ill health and promote healthy lifestyle choices. This three-year degree incorporates the core values of the NHS constitution to help prepare you for the challenges of working as a physiotherapist in a modern practice. Our BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy programme is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and when you graduate, you re eligible to apply for registration as a physiotherapist under the provisions of the Health Professions Order (2001). It s also subject to the validation procedures of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and is an approved course. As a graduate, you can seek status as a chartered physiotherapist with the CSP.
