Program Overview

The BSc Hons Diagnostic Radiography degree will provide you with the skills and knowledge to help diagnose and treat illness by producing and interpreting medical images. Diagnostic radiographers are essential members of the healthcare team, working closely with doctors, nurses and other health care professionals in a wide range of clinical settings. They use a range of imaging modalities to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of illness. These include conventional radiography, fluoroscopy, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and positron emission tomography. The BSc Radiography (Diagnostic Imaging) degree provides a route into a rewarding lifelong carer as a Diagnostic Radiographer. The course provides the physical, technological, biological and social knowledge required to work within a healthcare team and gain the professional skills and accreditation to practise as a radiographer.
