This course has an essential core of pure mathematics linked with modules from applied mathematics, statistics, and operational research. The courses are taught in small, friendly, group learning environments with high levels of support from lecturers with a wealth of experience in mathematics, statistics, and education. The facets and rigour developed by a student on a Mathematics degree at the University of Chichester can not only enable the student to become a Mathematics specialist but can allow them to apply the insight and techniques they have gained to a wide range of situations and areas outside of Mathematics. A recognised and relevant foundation/Access course (minimum pass mark for a UK-based foundation programme is usually 55%), Higher Secondary School Certificate with a minimum score of 60%, High School Diploma (to age 18) where it is deemed equivalent to A Levels (3 A Level passes at BBB/BCC) including Higher Mathematics at 5, An International Baccalaureate (30 points), EDEXCEL BTEC National Diploma (DDM-DMM), IELTS 6.0 overall with no component less than 5.5 (or equivalent).
