LLB Law at Bangor University: More Than a Degree

The LLB Law degree at Bangor University is more than just a pathway to becoming a solicitor or barrister—it’s an opportunity to engage with contemporary legal issues that shape society. Our dynamic curriculum reflects the ever-evolving nature of law, equipping you with a strong foundation in legal principles and preparing you for a range of rewarding careers, both within and beyond the legal profession.

You’ll gain expertise in core legal areas while exploring how law interacts with social, economic, and political changes. This course meets the academic requirements for barrister qualification (Bar Standards Board compliant) and provides essential knowledge for aspiring solicitors. Uniquely, our curriculum also covers distinct aspects of Welsh law, ensuring you're well-prepared for legal practice in Wales, England, and beyond.

As you progress, you’ll have the flexibility to shape your degree to match your interests and career goals. Our specialised, research-led modules, taught by leading experts, cover areas such as international law, human rights, family law, social justice, and emerging technologies. If you’re considering the Solicitors’ Qualifying Examinations (SQE), you can also study vocational subjects like Business Law, Wills and Estates, and Property Practice—helping you transition seamlessly into professional training.
