Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

⚖️ 1. Mediation Clinic

CCCU's in-house Mediation Clinic provides students with the opportunity to observe and participate in live mediations. 🧭 2. Courtroom Experience

Students have the option to shadow a local judge, gaining insights into courtroom procedures and the judicial decision-making process. This experience offers a unique perspective on the workings of the legal system and enhances students' understanding of legal practice. ​UCAS


🎤 3. Mooting and Mock Appeals

The university offers interactive workshops where students can engage in mock appeals, arguing fictional cases in front of a judge. These sessions help students develop their oracy skills, confidence, and understanding of the justice system. ​Home

CCCU offers study abroad opportunities through exchange programs with partner institutions in countries such as Poland, Cyprus, Malta, Germany, Austria, Belgium, and the USA (University of Tennessee).   • Solicitor: Graduates can progress to the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route, supported by CCU's focus on practical legal skills and professional preparation.

  • Barrister: Students aiming to become barristers can take a Bar Training Course (BTC) and apply for pupillage.

  • Other legal roles include paralegal, legal assistant, caseworker, or court clerk.
