Keele University

Program Overview

Explore the dynamic field of law and its influence on daily life with Keele University's LLB (Hons) Law program. Whether you envision a traditional legal career or seek opportunities in other industries, our course is designed to align with your aspirations.

You can choose a theoretical approach to legal studies or engage in hands-on learning through our Legal Advice Clinics and award-winning Community Legal Outreach scheme. These initiatives allow you to support individuals who may struggle to access legal assistance, all while developing a broad range of transferable skills that open pathways to careers in business, media, finance, and beyond.

At Keele, you'll gain a strong foundation in the seven core areas of legal knowledge: Contract Law, Tort Law, Public Law, Criminal Law, European Law, Land Law, and Equity & Trusts. As you progress, you can tailor your studies to suit your interests, exploring contemporary legal challenges such as climate change and technological advancements.

Our civic-minded Law School prioritizes employability, offering practical learning experiences where you work with real clients under the guidance of qualified solicitors. Through initiatives like the CLOCK (Community Legal Outreach Collaboration Keele) scheme and Legal Advice Clinics, you’ll refine your legal skills while providing free legal support to those in need—enhancing your confidence, critical thinking, and communication abilities.

You can further enrich your experience with a work placement year, gaining valuable industry insights and expanding your professional network. Alternatively, an international year at a partner university allows you to broaden your global perspective. Additionally, the opportunity to learn a new language equips you with multilingual skills, enhancing your career prospects on an international scale.
