Program Overview

The LLB Law at the University of Exeter is designed for students who are passionate about understanding how law shapes society and influences everyday life. Curriculum Structure:

Year 1:
In the first year, students build a strong foundation in core legal principles, exploring modules such as Contract Law, Criminal Law, and Public Law. You will learn how laws are applied in real-life situations, develop analytical skills, and gain insight into legal reasoning and interpretation.

Year 2:
The second year allows students to deepen their knowledge through modules like European Union Law, Tort Law, and Land Law. This stage focuses on connecting theory to practice, encouraging students to critically evaluate legal arguments and understand the broader societal context of the law.

Year 3:
In the final year, students specialise in areas of interest, choosing optional modules such as International Law, Human Rights Law, and Commercial Law. The year also emphasises independent research, with opportunities to undertake a dissertation or project, honing skills needed for professional legal practice.
