Curriculum Structure

Year 1

Your first year introduces the foundations of legal study, helping you understand how the English legal system operates and how lawyers build arguments. You’ll explore modules such as Contract Law, Criminal Law, Public Law, and Legal Skills and Method, each designed to build your confidence in legal research, reasoning, and communication. This year sets the stage for thinking like a lawyer and approaching cases with clarity and structure.

Year 2

In your second year, you develop deeper knowledge across essential legal subjects that form the backbone of legal training. You’ll study Land Law, Tort Law, and EU Law, while also taking part in practical workshops, case exercises, and problem-solving sessions. This year strengthens your ability to interpret legislation, analyse disputes, and apply legal principles to real-world situations.

Year 3

Your final year allows you to specialise in areas that match your career aspirations. You’ll complete advanced modules such as Equity and Trusts, Family Law, Employment Law, or Criminal Litigation, depending on your interests.
