LLB Hons Law

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

Edge Hill University

Program Overview

Our LLB (Hons) Law program offers a comprehensive foundation in legal knowledge while developing essential transferable skills for your future career. You will study the core principles of English Law, including contract law, tort, trusts, criminal law, public law, land law, and EU law, with the opportunity to specialize in areas that align with your interests through a diverse range of optional modules.

As a law student, you will engage in immersive, practical learning. You can refine your mooting and negotiation skills in our Moot Court Room, provide legal advice to the community through our Law Clinic, or experience the role of a criminal defence lawyer in our innovative ‘Crime House’.

You will be taught by experienced legal professionals and internationally recognized academics while benefiting from our strong industry connections. Our extra-curricular opportunities include work placements, careers fairs, panel events, commercial awareness programs, and visits to key legal institutions such as the UK Supreme Court and the International Court of Justice in The Hague.

At our School of Law, we prioritize academic excellence within a supportive environment. You will have access to an active Student Law Society, wellbeing initiatives, and competitions to enhance your legal skills.

As a qualifying law degree, this program satisfies the Bar Standards Board’s first academic requirement for aspiring barristers while also preparing students for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) under the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
