LLB (Hons) Law with International Relations

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Chichester

Program Overview

The LLB (Hons) Law with International Relations at the University of Chichester is designed for students who want to study law while exploring how global politics, diplomacy and international systems shape our world. It’s a great fit if you’re interested in legal study but also want to understand international conflict, cooperation, human rights and the role nations play on the global stage.

Curriculum Structure

Year 1 – Foundations in Law and Global Understanding

Your first year gives you a strong grounding in core legal subjects while introducing you to the key ideas that underpin international relations. You’ll study modules such as Criminal Law, Contract Law and Public Law alongside introductory topics in global politics that explore how states interact and what drives international decision-making. This year sets the stage for you to think legally and globally from day one.

Year 2 – Deepening Legal Knowledge and International Insight

In your second year, you’ll expand your legal understanding with modules like Tort Law, Land Law and Equity and Trusts. Alongside this, you’ll explore international themes such as global governance, political theory or international organisations. Through these combined studies, you’ll develop the ability to analyse legal issues within broader political and global contexts — a key skill for careers that operate beyond national boundaries.

Year 3 – Specialisation and Global Legal Application

Your final year gives you the opportunity to explore advanced areas of law and international relations that align with your interests. You might focus on subjects such as International Law, Human Rights Law or political modules that examine security, diplomacy or global challenges. You’ll also complete a dissertation or major research project, allowing you to investigate a topic that combines your legal knowledge with your international interests.
