Program Overview

This degree is a one-year top-up for those who have already achieved either the Social Care Studies Foundation Degree or are able to evidence accredited prior learning up to and including Level 5 in related subjects.It is a pre-qualifying degree in Social Work, and will equip you with the relevant skills, knowledge and values required to apply to practise professionally as a Social Worker. The aim is for you to practise as a confident, capable, critical and reflective practitioner in a range of different settings using a strong commitment to social justice, application of professional values and recognition of the diverse needs of members of society.

Additional Information & Requirements

Foundation Degree Social Care Studies Or Accredited prior learning of 120 credits at Level 4 and 120 Credits at Level 5 in a related subject area with significant experience in a suitable environment. For example you may have previously completed the first 2 years of a BA (Hons) Social Work. Selection is by interview and written test. IELTS score of 6.0 overall with 6.0 in Writing and 5.5 in all other bands. Enhanced DBS clearance.Occupational Health Clearance
