This course investigates aspects of taxonomy, evolution, ecology, behaviour and conservation of wild animals. The course has a significant international element as well as UK focus and you will have the opportunity to take part in field courses and project work in the UK, Europe, Africa and South America. Throughout the course you will acquire useful laboratory skills and develop analytical skills that can be applied to the conservation and management of biodiversity. Typical areas of study include: international issues in biodiversity conservation; the sustainable management of biological resources; animal behaviour and conservation; molecular ecology and conservation genetics; and habitat management.
Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded on completion of Standard 12 with good grade, 104-112 UCAS Tariff Points , A levels – to include grade C in one of the following subjects: Biology or Human Biology (with a Pass the Practical Assessment). IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each element, 26 IB Diploma Points including HL 5 in Biology AND HL 4 or SL 5 in English and Mathematics
