Knowledge of international affairs and skills of clear-sighted political analysis are needed more than ever before, as our traditional political ‘certainties’ crumble.Taught by experts in a stimulating and inclusive environment, you will gain a historical understanding of the development of the international system and its contemporary relevance.Examine a range of contemporary global political issues and problems (e.g. global poverty and foreign aid; war and military intervention; climate change; the ethics of torture; migration; racial and gender injustice), and the obligations states and political actors might have in responding to these challenges. Explore the links between identity, conflict, diplomacy, and models of governance to deal with the challenges of the 21st century.
