BA Hons in Politics

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Brighton

Program Overview

Our program offers comprehensive training in key areas of political studies: political theory, which delves into the ideas that shape our understanding and exercise of political power; political systems, which explores the institutions and practices that influence our domestic and international actions; and activist politics, which focuses on protest movements, social activism, and strategies for bringing about change.

With a wide range of options to choose from, you have the flexibility to shape your learning experience and specialize in each of these areas. Our approach encourages exploration of subfields and related disciplines, such as political economy, environmental politics, sex and gender studies, and sociology, through a diverse mix of elective courses and core modules offered in the second and third years. Additionally, you will develop skills in conducting independent research and writing a dissertation on a topic of your choice, which may include an original research project.

Upon graduation, you will possess valuable vocational skills in public speaking, critical thinking, and project planning, which will enhance your professional prospects.
