This honours degree programme is aimed at students who wish to pursue a career in journalism, whether in hard news or comment, and who value good writing, skilled broadcasting and top-class analytical skills. You will benefit from a practical, hands-on major in Journalism, aimed at developing first-class production skills in online, print and broadcast media with a minor in Politics that emphasises the analysis of differing political systems and approaches. Drawing on the synergies between politics and media across different platforms the need for clarity and the construction of a compelling message the programme will familiarise you with a broad range of essential and advanced journalistic principles, writing / production techniques, and with life in the workplace.
