With this degree, you will develop your awareness of how our contemporary society, culture and politics have been shaped by historical events and political processes. We draw on developments from the late-nineteenth century to analyse contemporary politics, as well as social, economic and cultural trends. The BA (Hons) in Politics and Contemporary History offers students who want to focus on very modern history and politics the perfect opportunity to develop their interests. A recognised and relevant foundation/Access course (minimum pass mark for a UK-based foundation programme is usually 55%), Higher Secondary School Certificate with a minimum score of 60%, High School Diploma (to age 18) where it is deemed equivalent to A Levels (3 A Level passes at BBB/BCC), An International Baccalaureate (28 points), EDEXCEL BTEC National Diploma (MMM-DMM), IELTS 6.0 overall with no component less than 5.5 (or equivalent).
