Contemporary states, politics and ideas cannot be fully understood without analysing their historical background. This degree emphasises the relevance of history to modern life, as you combine historical investigation with the discussion of debates and issues in current politics.

The minimum entry requirements for this course are 104 UCAS Tariff points, 3 GCSEs at grade C / 4 or above (or equivalent) including English Language, 60% in Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC/Standard XII/All India Senior School Certificate/Indian School Certificate/CBSE). IB: 24 points minimum, An IELTS level 6.0 (with no skill below 5.5) or equivalent. A Level: CCC
