This three‑year, BPS‑accredited degree integrates core psychology with criminology as a minor subject, offering insight into human behaviour and criminal justice. Curriculum Structure
Year One
In the first year, you’ll study two psychology modules and one criminology module each semester. These include foundational topics across biological, cognitive, developmental, and social psychology, alongside criminological theory relating to crime and victimisation.
Year Two
Year two continues with your psychology core while deepening criminology understanding. You’ll explore themes such as offender behaviour, justice systems and societal impacts of crime, alongside improving research and analytical skills.
Year Three
In your final year, you'll complete a substantial dissertation within psychology and may choose advanced criminology or forensic psychology options. This enables specialisation and in-depth research tailored to your interests. An optional professional placement year is available between Years Two and Three to gain practical experience or work with industry partners, extending the course to four years.
