BSc (Hons) Psychology with Integrated Foundation Year

4 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Plymouth

Program Overview

If you are seeking an alternative pathway into our psychology degree, the integrated foundation year is designed to build your confidence and develop the essential academic and study skills needed for success. This foundational year provides a strong base, preparing you thoroughly to progress onto our BSc (Hons) Psychology degree. The entire foundation year is delivered within the school, ensuring that the curriculum and support are tailored specifically to your learning needs as you begin your journey towards a career in professional psychology and related fields.

A foundation year is an additional introductory year that allows you to deepen your understanding of the subject before moving on to the full undergraduate degree. Upon successful completion of the foundation year, you automatically advance to the three-year degree program without the need to reapply.

Progression options after the foundation year include degrees such as BSc (Hons) Psychology, BSc (Hons) Psychology with Criminology, and BSc (Hons) Psychology with Sociology.

This course is ideal if you want to boost your confidence for university-level study, acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for a full degree, or if your current qualifications don’t meet standard entry requirements.
