BSc Psychology

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Roehampton

Program Overview

The BSc Psychology degree offers a comprehensive overview of key psychological disciplines, beginning with core areas such as biological psychology, where you’ll explore how the brain, nervous system, and physiological processes influence mental function and behaviour. In social psychology, you’ll examine how our actions and attitudes are shaped by others, while developmental psychology focuses on the evolution of thought, emotion, and behaviour across the lifespan.

As you progress, you'll have the opportunity to tailor your studies to match your personal interests, engaging with contemporary topics like mental health, forensic psychology, and health psychology. This flexibility ensures that your learning remains relevant to your future goals.

Designed with your career in mind, the course equips you with a broad range of transferable skills, making you a strong candidate for various graduate roles or further academic training towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist. Throughout your studies, you'll be supported by dedicated academic staff who are also active researchers and practitioners in their fields.

You’ll benefit from access to cutting-edge facilities, including EEG equipment to monitor brain activity and eye-tracking systems for analysing cognitive processes. From your first year, you’ll join a research-active community, with opportunities to participate in or lead final-year research projects, gaining valuable hands-on experience.

This programme is professionally accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). Graduates who achieve at least a second-class honours degree will be eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC), an essential step toward professional practice in psychology.
