On our Sociology programme you ll look at the workings of today s society from every angle. You ll explore how social characteristics, like gender and class, influence the way people live their lives. You ll examine the dominant belief systems whose interests do they serve And you ll get to grips with the key classical and contemporary sociological concepts and theories. Through real-life case studies, you ll also investigate the methods required to study complex issues and human behaviours, using practical tools like interviews, observations and numerical evidence. In short, you ll learn how to carry out social research. Taking this route, you ll specialise in quantitative methods in your final year.
