In your initial year, you will establish a solid base of fundamental principles in sociology and criminology, which will serve as a foundation for further development throughout your degree. During this period, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of social identities and key aspects of criminal law.
Moving on to the second year, you will have the opportunity to specialize in subjects that capture your interest. This stage involves exploring contemporary perspectives on various topics, including sexuality, health and well-being, crime, and the media.
As you progress into your third year, your focus will be on completing a final dissertation project that serves as the culmination of your learning throughout your degree program.
In addition to the dissertation, you will also analyze the role of the media in the increase of anxiety among younger generations. Furthermore, you will explore how the media reflects the world around us and gain an understanding of the sociological principles underlying aggression and violence.
