Program Overview

The BA (Hons) Music Performance and Acting for Film program offers comprehensive training in both singing or instrumental performance and practical skills in television and screen acting. By joining one of the most extensive musical performance programs in the UK, you will have the opportunity to audition for our six orchestras, nine other large ensembles, five choirs, and over 70 small ensembles. Additionally, you will engage in performance projects while refining your craft of acting for the screen.

This course is taught by highly experienced practitioners in the fields of musical performance, film, and television acting.

Throughout the course, you will:

Receive training in singing or instrumental performance.
Develop your acting skills in television and screen acting.
Participate in a variety of performance work on campus, in the region, and through regular overseas tours, with the option to join our orchestras, ensembles, and choirs.
Benefit from the expertise of seasoned professionals in the fields of musical performance and film and television acting.
