The University of Hertfordshire has an international reputation for the quality of its research in history. History is one of the largest subject areas on the Humanities Programme. This means it can offer you a very wide choice of modules, focusing on the political, social and cultural history of the period since 1500. The academic study of film involves examining cinematic works from historical, critical and theoretical perspectives. Films from around the world and across the decades will be explored alongside a wealth of research material. Particular attention is paid to the close critical analysis of film, and the medium's stylistic possibilities.
112 - 120 UCAS points, the typical A-Level offer is: BBC-BBB. Minimum percentage required (12 standard or HSC) 65%. IELTS score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each band.
