By undertaking our BA (Hons) Painting and Drawing program, you will be immersed in the foundational aspects of drawing and painting, while also having the opportunity to experiment with other two-dimensional media such as printmaking. From the beginning of your degree, you will have the chance to specialize and focus on developing skills within a specific discipline area.
In order to produce art of the highest quality, you will receive comprehensive support through specialized workshops. These workshops will introduce you to various paint media, including oil, acrylic, and others, where you will receive demonstrations on different techniques and processes. We actively encourage you to cultivate intellectual curiosity and a sense of adventure, enabling you to navigate and embrace the unpredictable nature of the artistic process.
A recognised and relevant foundation/Access course (minimum pass mark for a UK-based foundation programme is usually 55%), Higher Secondary School Certificate with a minimum score of 60%, High School Diploma (to age 18) where it is deemed equivalent to A Levels (3 A Level passes at BBB/CCC), An International Baccalaureate (28 points), EDEXCEL BTEC National Diploma (DDM-DMM), IELTS 6.0 overall with no component less than 5.5 (or equivalent).
