University of Wisconsin MadisonAgricultural and applied economics (AAE) majors learn about the principles of economics and how to apply them to real-world problems and public policy debates. This training equips students to analyze the economic factors impacting a wide range of issues, including environmental challenges and sustainability, energy and climate change, globalization and trade, business economics and finance, global poverty and hunger, community and regional economic development, biotechnology, and food systems.
Application Completed Higher Secondary Education or equivalent. Official transcripts GPAs between a 3.8 and a 4.0, and a class rank in the 85–97 percentile. TOEFL iBT: 80 OR IELTS 6.5 overall. Two Essays One Letter of Recommendation ACT / SAT (optional for Spring 2027)
