Program Overview

The Agricultural Science and Technology (AGTEC) program prepares students for a career in the technical, mechanical, and scientific world of agriculture. Rapid mechanization of the agricultural industry and improvements in technology necessitate training people to manage machinery, facilities, technology, operations, resources, and people related to crop and livestock production, machinery and systems engineering, and other agricultural systems. Students are trained to be problem solvers by learning to diagnose, manage, and maintain equipment and processes related to agricultural systems. Students gain experience with machinery, technology, processes, management, and hands-on application in classroom and laboratory settings.
