The Pre-veterinary Program is designed to prepare students for admission to veterinary schools. Admission to veterinary school is highly competitive. Those who are not accepted for veterinary training will be well prepared to pursue graduate programs in animal physiology and health. Veterinarians work in private, in federal, state, and local assignments dealing with disease control and public health, and in teaching and research. Food and drug companies hire veterinarians for product development and testing
