BS Plant Sciences in Turfgrass Science

4 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Missouri

Program Overview

Plant Sciences addresses the challenges from the field to the laboratory. Students enroll in a generalized core curriculum, then further refine their expertise in the Turfgrass Science emphasis area. The basics of turfgrass selection, production, and protection offer diverse careers where the outdoors is your office: golf course superintendent, lawn technician, city park management, and sports complex turf manager. For those that enjoy the outdoors and green backgrounds, opportunities abound to work in low profile (parks and recreation) or high profile (Busch Stadium) venues.
