Most medical and dental school students major in Biology or Chemistry because many of the prerequisite courses are built into the programs however, this is not a requirement Students with any major may be considered if they have demonstrated a good background in the sciences and a strong academic record To develop the knowledge and skills you need, and to demonstrate your ability for advanced study, we recommend a rigorous course load with at least two science andor mathematics courses during each semester for the first three years
