They take a blend of design, merchandising and textiles courses, plus professional and free electives that let them tailor the degree to fit their skills and career aspirations. If those electives include many business courses, there is some overlap with the TM degree; but a student might opt for other electives (for example, in fashion design) and make the degree very different.
