Program Overview

The Department of Forensic and Investigative Science (FIS) offers a bachelor of Science degree with three areas of emphasis ( forensic biology, forensic chemistry, and forensic examiner). Each emphasis provides the student with a strong background in the physical and biological sciences associated with forensic science. The program is fully accredited by the Forensic Education Programs Accreditation Commission (FEPAC).Because of the unique nature of the program and forensic science employment, students are forewarned about issues that could affect their ability to obtain a background check, and complete the degree. Department guidelines are available from the department adviser.
