Program Overview

In an Exploratory Major you will work closely with your Exploratory Academic Advisor in the Students First Office to help you discover aspects of your purpose and passion in life. You and your Exploratory Academic Advisor will identify opportunities for you to explore different courses, programs, and co-curricular opportunities at the University and in the surrounding Greensboro community as part of your major selection process. An Exploratory major is a freshman or sophomore student purposefully seeking to decide which field will be his or her major focus. Exploratory majors work closely with their advisors to assess their talents and interests, to learn more about areas of study, to develop an plan for effective exploration, and to stay on track for on-time graduation.
