Art history classes explore the relationship between art objects and the historical, multicultural, intercultural, philosophical, and scientific developments specific to the era in which they were created. The survey classes concentrate upon developments in aesthetics, process, and iconography. Upper-level classes examine these issues in greater detail, but give greater emphasis to methodology, theory, and variation.
