Do you love to write, spend time online, and create Have your eye on a career in advertising, public relations, public service, or nonprofit marketing At Suffolk, you can major in either advertising or public relations and learn how to make your message heard. As an advertising major, you ll learn the skills you need to succeed in the fast-paced competitive world of advertising from copywriting and social media to integrated marketing strategies. You ll learn advertising industry basics, including how to create ads and plan advertising campaigns that appeal to the target markets of industry brands and nonprofits. You ll write ad copy and design the visual elements of ads. Then, you will study the fundamentals of media planning and buying as it applies to television, radio, print, online, and social media advertising.
