Music majors at Catawba College who need their studies and experiences to meet the music competencies expected by the State of North Carolina for K-12 music teacher licensure should choose the Music Education concentration.The Catawba Music Education program features a unique Cognate Area design. By their junior year, students can choose to declare one of the following: Teaching, Conducting, or Performance.
