5 Years On Campus Bachelors Program
Montclair State UniversityThe Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education is a 5-year program designed to prepare students for teaching careers in New Jersey's public schools, as well as private or out-of-state schools. Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive both the Bachelor of Music degree and an initial licensure from the State of New Jersey.
TOEFL ibT of 83, Interview with Admissions Representative, IELTS minimum required score of 6.5 overall band. Minimum 3.0 GPA. Audition required. US universities use a holistic admissions review. Profile Assessment: Creative-field applicants may be assessed through academic preparation, creative ability, visual thinking and, where required, a portfolio. The portfolio may include finished work as well as sketches, experimentation, process development and written explanations. Architecture may value Mathematics, Physics, drawing and spatial thinking, while Art, Design and Fashion programs may place greater emphasis on originality, technical development and the creative process.Advanced Placement(AP) Guidance: AP availability depends on the student's school.
