Program Overview

The current undergraduate program in classical guitar began in 1972. Each year, three or four students are admitted. The maximum enrollment at any given time is always between 12 and 14 students, an ideal number for the program's educational objectives. Many graduates of UC College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) have continued classical guitar study at European and American conservatories. CCM students have also been finalists and winners in national and international guitar competitions.
