Serving hundreds of music majors and minors and thousands of UM students and community musicians each year, the UM School of Music is a leader in music education, performance, and composition with national and internationally recognized faculty and award-winning students. Offering a full complement of undergraduate and graduate degree programs, the School of Music is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music and is home to the All-Star Band, Choir & Orchestra, Grizzly Marching Band, Buddy DeFranco Jazz Festival, Vienna Program, UM Summer Music Camps.

Additional Information & Requirements

High school transcript be sent upon graduation which must include your date of graduation and final GPA., Earn at least a 2.5 high school GPA; or. Rank in the top half of the school's graduating class; or. Earn an ACT composite score of 22 or higher, or SAT total score of 1120 or higher (exception: MSU Northern: ACT score of 20, SAT score of 1050).The TOEFL, IELTS or MELAB are also required of international applicants who are not graduates of an English-speaking university.
