Music Performance is the act of playing an instrument or singing for an audience. A professional musician performs music alone or with a small or large group, of other musicians. Music performers must function as practitioners who exhibit not only technical competence, but also a broad knowledge of music, literature, and musical style. Performers also possess insight into the role of music in the life of humankind. The primary emphasis of the Bachelor of Music degree is the development of the skills, concepts, and sensitivity essential to the professional life of a musician.
