Program Overview

Make a positive impact on the overall well-being of patients as a music therapist. This program combines a clinical core with music theory, music history, music performance, psychology, and anatomy. Our approach allows students to serve a wide range of clients in a variety of clinical settings using percussion, piano, voice, and guitar.The Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy prepares students to become candidates for music therapy board certification. The program combines a clinical core with music theory, music history, music performance, psychology, and anatomy. Our approach allows students to serve a wide range of clients in a variety of clinical settings using percussion, piano, voice, and guitar. Students receive in-depth, hands-on training by completing 1,200 hours of clinical training and internship hours over the course of their studies. The B.M. in Music Therapy is offered through the Wells School of Music which promotes excellence, celebrates expression, and supports our community of musicians inside and outside the classroom.
