Program Overview

The concentration in theater offers hands-on experience for students interested in all aspects of theater production. Made up of a series of core courses where students learn by doing , the concentration centers around the production of an annual live dramatic performance. Students manage almost every aspect of the dramatic production, including acting; costume design; set, prop, sound, and lighting design; stage management; and set construction. They also design, produce, distribute, and maintain publicity materials, from posters and programs to websites and media ads. Students do all of this under the guidance of highly credentialed faculty.
