Program Overview

The B.A. in theater arts is designed for students who are seeking a solid fundamental overview of theater as part of a well-rounded liberal arts education. The major is designed to provide you with a strong foundation of the history and craftsmanship involved in professional theater. You ll take classes in academic theater, physical production, and performance, and you will have the opportunity to take electives as well as internships and/or project work. Several opportunities exist for students to study abroad in university-sponsored programs. Each student s curriculum is further tailored to provide focus in particular areas including performance, direction, writing, administration or design. Upon completion of the degree, you will be prepared for internships or employment in the arts community, graduate study, and studio training.
