Program Overview

Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business offers a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in International Business, designed for students seeking careers in multinational corporations, international trade, global consulting, and diplomacy. The program combines business fundamentals with global insight, offering deep exposure to international finance, trade, marketing, cross-cultural management, and policy.

Students complete 180 - 186 quarter credits, with the option to choose between Three Co-op (5 years), One Co-op (4 years), or No Co-op (4 years) formats. The program includes a rigorous foreign language requirement, study abroad opportunities, and interdisciplinary electives from economics, international politics, and communication.

Course overview:

  • Years 1 & 2: General education and business core including accounting, micro/macro economics, marketing, business analytics, and civic engagement. Language study begins in the first year and continues for at least six courses (24 credits).

  • Years 3 & 4/5: Advanced international business courses including Seminar in International Business, plus electives such as International Trade, Global Financial Management, Global Entrepreneurship, and International Business Consulting. Students are encouraged to undertake study abroad, international co-ops, or global consulting residencies.

  • Capstone seminar and writing-intensive courses are required in later years.

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

Co-op Program: 

  • Up to 18 months of full-time, paid work experience in international business settings—multinational corporations, global nonprofits, or international trade firms.

Global Experiences:

  • Students can pursue international co-ops, study abroad, global consulting projects, global classrooms, and participate in the Global Learning Community.

Student Involvement:

  • Students gain cross-cultural skills through clubs, intensive abroad courses, and language immersion.
