Florida State University’s Risk Management/Insurance (RMI) major is offered through the highly esteemed Dr. William T. Hold/The Alliance Program, consistently ranked among the top in the nation. Administered by the Department of Risk Management/Insurance, Real Estate and Legal Studies, this program provides a robust foundation in risk assessment, insurance operations, and financial planning.
The curriculum equips students with critical analytical and decision-making skills relevant to property and casualty insurance, life and health products, employee benefits, corporate risk management, and insurance regulation. MAC 2233: Calculus for Business
ECO 2013 & ECO 2023: Macroeconomics and Microeconomics
ACG 2021 & ACG 2071: Financial and Managerial Accounting
STA 2023: Business Statistics
Minimum GPA Requirements: 2.70 (Term 1), 2.80 (Term 2), 2.90 (Term 3 and 4)
