Program Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) is designed for students who want to understand how businesses operate while developing the analytical and conceptual skills needed for managerial decision-making in a technology-driven environment. The curriculum also covers the legal, social, and ethical dimensions of business through MGT 2106: Legal, Social, Ethical Aspects of Business, while students explore concentration areas before formally selecting one by the end of their sophomore year.

Junior Year: Students move into advanced business functions through courses including MGT 3062: Financial Management, MGT 3101: Organizational Behavior, MGT 3300: Marketing Management I, and MGT 3501: Operations Management. They also begin deeper concentration study, with options ranging from MGT 3076: Investments in Finance to MGT 3310: Marketing Research: Analytics in Marketing and MGT 3103: Leadership in a Changing Environment in Leadership and Organizational Change.

Senior Year: Students complete advanced concentration coursework while strengthening strategic and global business knowledge through courses such as MGT 3659: Foundations of Strategy and MGT 3660: International Business. Depending on their concentration, students can explore areas such as financial modeling, digital marketing, management consulting, supply chain modeling, technology strategy, or entrepreneurship, giving the final stage of the degree a strong specialist focus.

  • Information Systems and Digital Transformation: MGT 2210 provides hands-on experience with current tools for working with data while examining how information systems support business operations and decision-making.
  • Internship experience: MGT 2599: Internship and Independent Study allows students to undertake independent study with faculty guidance in association with an unpaid internship. The BSBA curriculum also permits internship credit within its elective structure.
  • Undergraduate research: MGT 2699: Undergraduate Research allows students to conduct independent research under the guidance of a faculty member, with the BSBA allowing research credits within its curriculum.
  • Corporate projects: Scheller's corporate partners can work with students on real-world problems through capstone projects, practicums, custom hackathons, pitch competitions, and innovation challenges.
  • Business Analytics/AI environment: Georgia Tech launched the Center for AI in Business in 2026, building on the former Business Analytics Center and expanding opportunities for applied AI education, experiential learning, research, and industry engagement.
