The Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Accounting at Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business prepares students for careers in public accounting, corporate finance, auditing, taxation, and accounting information systems. The program develops key competencies in financial reporting, auditing, taxation, managerial accounting, and business ethics, while integrating technology and accounting information systems throughout the curriculum.

Course overview:

  • Years 1 & 2: General education courses in English, mathematics, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and foundational business courses including Principles of Accounting I & II, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Introduction to Computer-based Information Systems, and Business, Value and You.

  • Years 3 & 4: Core business courses in Business Communication, Corporate Finance, Marketing Management, Managing People, and Legal & Ethical Environment of Business. Advanced accounting courses include Financial Reporting I & II, Cost/Managerial Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Federal Income Taxes, Assurance Services, and Technology & Values in Accounting. The program concludes with Global Business, Strategic Management, and a required exit exam.
