Program Overview

The B.B.A. in Entrepreneurship at Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business is a forward-thinking program designed to equip students with the skills needed to launch, manage, and scale new ventures or drive innovation within established companies.

The program combines creative problem-solving with solid business fundamentals, empowering students to develop viable business models, design innovative products and services, and effectively lead entrepreneurial initiatives. 

Students gain core competencies in:

  • Year 1: English Composition I & II, College Algebra, Critical Thinking, Perspectives on Culture or Science, Business, Value and You, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Humanities, Fine Arts, Elementary Statistics

  • Year 2: Principles of Accounting I & II, Introduction to Computer-based Information Systems, U.S. History, American Government, Lab Sciences, Additional Humanities/Fine Arts/Language Courses, World History/Politics, Social Science

  • Year 3: Business Communication, Business Analysis, Corporate Finance, Marketing Management, Legal and Ethical Environment, Managing People in Organizations, Entrepreneurial Thinking, Product-Service Design for New Ventures, ENI Elective, Upper Division RCB Elective

  • Year 4: Business Model Validation, Scaling a New Venture, Strategic Management, Global Business, Two ENI Electives, Upper Division Business Electives, Upper Division General Electives, Exit Exam

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

  • Venture Creation: Students develop, validate, and potentially launch real ventures throughout the program.

  • Internships: Strongly encouraged, with opportunities at startups, corporate innovation teams, and small businesses in Atlanta.

  • Student Organizations: Entrepreneurship Club, business plan competitions, and industry networking events.

  • Mentorship: Access to Atlanta’s entrepreneurial community, including mentorship from investors, founders, and incubator networks.
